OpenNotas integrates 3 open-source Markdown editors: CodeMirror, TipTap and Milkdown.

CodeMirror is a popular, powerful, and feature-rich source code editor.

TipTap is a modern editor that allows you to preview the Markdown formatting in real-time while writing.

Milkdown is a powerful WYSIWYG markdown editor that combines the simplicity of markdown with the flexibility of a modern editor. It's designed to be lightweight yet extensible, making it perfect for both simple and complex editing needs.

You can switch between these editors based on your preferences by clicking on the editor name in the toolbar. Nevertheless, we recommend not using TipTap frequently; we are not developing any additional features based on TipTap and are focusing on Milkdown instead.

Additionally, you can add a new editor of your choice. For detailed instructions, refer to Add a New Editor.
